A warm, easy-to-run website for a beloved teacher’s new tutoring business.
The brief
Elise Kreiss taught Maura’s daughter in third grade, and she’s one of the best teachers her daughter has ever had. So when Elise posted on Instagram that she was starting a tutoring business and that “the website was coming soon,” we knew right away we wanted to help.

The results
Elise has a site that introduces her the way her families already know her and makes it easy to reach out. And she can update it herself whenever she needs to.
The challenge
Tutoring is about as personal as a business gets. Parents are deciding who gets to sit next to their kid every week, and that’s a lot of trust to ask for from a page that says “coming soon.”
Elise also needed a site she could keep up herself, without calling us every time something changed (though obviously we’re always happy to help).
Our approach
We started with her story and why she loves teaching, because when you’re trusting someone with your child, you want to know who they are. From there we laid out the ways to work with her and made getting in touch as easy as possible.
Then we filled the site with words from parents and students whose lives she’s changed. We can’t say this enough: testimonials are gold. Hearing from another family who’s been there means everything.
